Ancient Greek Armors
Medusa belt
This is a heavy-duty, handmade belt for civilian use inspired by ancient Greek art. The buckle is
made of cast bronze and is based on an original archaeological artifact found inside the ante
chamber of Phillip II’s tomb at Vergina (Greece). The belt itself, a thick leather band with horizontal
hand stiched decorations on its fringes, two bronze fittings and inner lining, is designed to wrap
around the waist of the wearer and hooks on Medusa’s back with a clasp.
