Mycenaean Armor
Ajax’s Helmet
15th -11th century B.C
A helmet based on various archaeological finds and paintings of Mycenaean Period (Late Bronze Age period of Greece, 15th -11th century BC). It have been made by bronze sheets.Two crests (radial and top) with woolen tufts and a pair of natural horns on the sides complete the decoration of the helmet. A pair of cheek guards with decorative elements protect the sides of the head. A thick woolen and textile padding have been attached to the inside surfaces.
