Three reconstructed Byzantine "Klivania" of natural size from the private collection of Dimitrios Katsikis hosted as exhibits in the hall of Dumbarton Oaks Museum and Research Library in Washington DC. The transport of exhibits was held for the international symposium entitled "Warfare in the Byzantine World, Military Men in Byzantium, Emperors, Saints, and Soldiers at Arms" which took place on April 30 - May 2 2010 at the premises of the research center under the organization of professor of Byzantine History John Haldon (Princeton University) and curator Dr.Gudrun Buehl (Dumbarton Oaks Museum).

In the framework of the educational programme "Science – Society - 5th Round" on "War in the time of Byzantium" held on 01-29 May 2011 in the National Research Foundation under the organization of the Institute of Byzantine Research (IBR) attendees had the opportunity to see Byzantine armor reconstructions based on archaeological and artistic evidence of this era (10th-13th century). In this exhibition the constructor Dimitrios Katsikis presented for the first time part of his works to the Greek public. The circle of talks opened with the speech of the director of the Institute of Byzantine Research professor Taxiarchis G. Kollias.
